Admissions

Thank you for your interest in finding out more about our award-winning school.

After you browse through our website, we encourage you to be in touch with us. We are open to inquiries throughout the fall, and we look forward to speaking with you. Our application deadline for the 2024–2025 school year is December 18, 2023; applications after that date are processed on a space-available basis.

Steps to Get Started

For students applying from the BCHA Middle School, please fill out this form. For all others, please follow the sequence below.

COMPLETE AN INQUIRY FORM HEREWe will then be in touch with you to find out more about your child and what you (and he/she) are looking for in a high school.

MEET WITH AN AMBASSADOR. Once we have an initial conversation, we will send you some promotional materials about the school and arrange for you to speak with a parent ambassador and your child to select and subsequently speak to two of our student ambassadors.

TAKE A TOUR OF BCHA. Visit classes, meet our teachers and students, and get a fuller sense of what makes our school so unique.

COMPLETE AN APPLICATION. You will receive a login to our system, in which you will be able to complete an application, request recommendations (from the student’s current English teacher; math teacher; and Judaic teacher, if applicable), download a transcript request form, and upload any supplemental materials. Families applying for financial aid will also have the ability to do so during the application process.

ARRANGE TO TAKE ADMISSIONS AND PLACEMENT EXAMS. BCHA offers its own admission exams, in school or via a virtual testing portal, in English, math, and Judaic studies. Additionally, our Hebrew department will arrange for a Hebrew placement exam via Zoom.
